Test Procedure. Caution: Do not operate the unit in areas with combustible gases, dust, or explosive atmospheres; do not allow for use with AC power and DC circuits exceeding 24V. If the LED glows green and the buzzer sounds, it indicates a short circuit or overload component on this side, please note the color or identification code of this wire. Follow the wires along the harness as far as possible, find the color-coded wire in the harness and expose it, then cut the wire.

Test procedure: unfold the cable, connect the red clip to the positive end of the vehicle battery and the black clip to the negative end of the vehicle battery; connect the auxiliary ground wire to the negative end of the component under test;

press the button to the (-) side and the LED lights up red; activate the component by connecting the probe tip to the positive terminal to test the component. If the LED turns green, audible through the buzzer, stop the test and check if the component is defective or if the component is rated for higher current than this tester. Caution.
